We always hold up to the manifesto that visuals speak louder than thousand of words. Piktochart came up to this point from beta to launch, we have some mojo that pumped our adrenaline. Pushing us to work faster without snoozing off not just coffee, but some pretty amazing lyrics, rhythms and sometimes, MTV.

These are a few songs that made some impact. We hope the songs or lyrics inspire you as well.

This song by Ken Hirai is unforgettable as this is one of the song that came together with piktochart. This is a very fun song with cute dance steps. The positive aura of this song helped us a lot in term of reducing the stress level that we face everyday. We might not completely understand what he sang but it’s the expression of joy that make this song one of our favourites.

Note: His original vid has been banned on Youtube, but if you find it, it’s pure sunshine.

Carl Douglas’ “kungfu fighting” always popped into my mind, especially when we are a startup and imagining all the other startups on the catwalk alley together with us.

Memorable lyrics: “Everybody was kung-fu fighting

Those cats were fast as lightning

In fact it was a little bit frightning

But they fought with expert timing”

We dont just listen to upbeat songs, I did say amazing lyrics made their impact on us right?

This song, I won’t give up by Jason Mraz really hit me. The lyrics might sound mushy, but listening carefully there’s a catch in the chorus as well which tells us not to give up :)

Chorus: ” ‘Cause even the stars they burn

Some even fall to the earth

We’ve got a lot to learn

God knows we’re worth it

No, I won’t give up”

Apart from not giving up, there are times where we feel lazy too.. We are just a bunch of hyper young monkeys who wish to “not do anything at all”

Looking at this video, we like to imitate how they dance and shake their heads.

Personally I do not know if the whole team likes this or not, we are Malaysians! How can we leave k-pop out of the scene! Let’s put our hands up up up.

Put your Hands Up, Put your Hands Up, put, put, put, put, put

Put your Hands Up, Put your Hands Up, put, put, put, put, put

Put your Hands Up, Put your Hands Up, put, put, put, put, put

Put your Hands Up, Put your Hands Up, put, put, put, put, put”

Everyone in the team has a different taste of music, from a to z (literally Apocalyptica to Mozart ….) Will share more and hope to get some inspirational songs from you too.

Ciao,

See Mei (Designer at Piktochart)
