We have rolled out a few minor yet important features such as:
Resize without locking aspect ratio
You can resize images and icons now only by locking aspect ratio. That means that the width and height does not get distorted as you resize any items on the infographic canvas. In order to be able to resize it any way you want, just hold on to the shift key.
On the left in the example below you see a “picture-perfect” penguin while on the right, you can hold on to the SHIFT key as you resize to skew the penguin.
A4 Print Markers
A lot of users have been telling us that they would like to create A4 sized infographics but they have no idea how to resize it exactly for A4 print. We came up with a temporary solution while we figure out a more permanent solution by adding “markers” so that you can see where the borders are when you send the infographic to print.
Do not be alarmed by the dotted line when you see it!
When you get into an infographic, within 60 seconds, your infographic would already be automatically saved to the database. This is to prevent you from losing too much work should you accidentally close the browser, or if Internet/electricity goes down, you will have a reasonable back up!
This has been improved to auto-save automatically onto the infographic itself without the need of manually saving the work. Still, it is recommended that you periodically save your work before exiting Piktochart!
Did you notice a “Report an issue” button at the top of the editor? When you report an issue with the app using this feature, it automatically tells us which browser and OS you are from which will help us get to the bottom of the issue faster!
That’s all for this week. We’ll keep shipping! What have you been up to?
