This post was inspired by Steve Jobs. You are the one pioneer of mega-design and to you, we salute with this post! His quote: “At one point I was thinking about going to Japan and trying to get into the Eihei-ji monastery, but my spiritual advisor urged me to stay here. He said there is nothing over there that isn’t here, and he was correct. I learned the truth of the Zen saying that if you are willing to travel around the world to meet a teacher, one will appear next door.”

Many movements in design, animation, illustration, architecture have been inspired by the Japanese culture. Zen for example, is a concept that is born from serenity. It has been used and re-framed countless times in design whether in architecture or product branding/association.

We know that Apple applies minimalistic design and colours, there are 5 Japanese design concepts behind it. We highlight them in this post. Would you agree/disagree? Looking forward to your comments below.
